Step 1: Set Up Database

Run the SQL script to create the necessary database tables. Click the "Scripts" button in the bottom panel, then run 001-create-tables.sql

What this creates:

  • • Users table for authentication
  • • Vehicles table for car information
  • • Wallets table to link users and vehicles
  • • Records table for service history
  • • Ownership transfers table for vehicle history

Step 2: API Keys

Good news! No additional API keys are required to get started.

NHTSA VIN Decoder

Uses the free public NHTSA API - no key needed

AI Chat Assistant

Uses Vercel AI Gateway with OpenAI - works automatically

Supabase Database

Already connected via integration

Step 3: Start Using AutoTrac

Once the database is set up, you're ready to go!

After Setup:

  1. 1. Register for a new account
  2. 2. Add your first vehicle using its VIN
  3. 3. Start tracking service records
  4. 4. Ask the AI assistant questions about your vehicle
